What sort of installed price is a new water heater these days?
The pressure relief valve on mine started dribbling hot water into the evacuation system last week and I had to shut it off for the time being.
Had a plumber in this morning to see about it and he said he wouldn't touch it with a pole.

I mean, yeah, it's antique 1956 vintage OEM with the house, but I've got some serious mileage out of it and there's sentimental value of a sort.
Think I can pull the body off the rails and put a restomod frame and powerplant inside? AWD?

I asked for him to put in a bid, but I think he may put some swirls in the paint during the process.
depends on the power source, size, and power vent or not. likely $500-1500 all in...

We went with "Bit of Sugar" White BEHR paint for all the bedrooms. I know is only a matter of time until the boss lady decides she wants color back and not plain white. I'm taking bets on how long it will be until that happens. Of course, when she says "We need to paint" she means "You're painting, and I'll be having wine in the living room waiting to tell you how you still need to do another coat."
i don't hate painting. better than doing plumbing at least.

if you get the right paint, you don't need to do more than 1 coat!
