Cue in the clickbaits claiming the car is a death trap...
I can understand the benefit of a single rating, but there's a huge difference between a car with low rating because of poor passive safety and some active safety tacked on to pass the bar vs. a car with good passive safety and no active safety equipment.
I think the public would be better served with two ratings - one for passive safety (crash protection) and one for active safety (crash prevention).
