Just wrapped up this DIY, thank you so much for everyone who contributed/documented this! Few tips for those fielding this:

The big wiring connector that plugs into the stability control module will not plug back in unless the pink sliders (used to lock the wires) are in the "locked" position. Don't force it, it should slide on easily.

Similarly, when pulling the wires out to re-pin them... If the wires are unlocked they should pull out of the connector with ease, you shouldn't have to force them at all. If you have to pull the wire with much force it's likely locked, check the pink connectors again as well as the locks in the front side.

Lastly, I went for a drive after completing this and attempted a hill start to "confirm" the new programming was there. When hill start didn't work I was concerned I did something wrong, but searching on these forums confirmed hill start is not enabled by default. I don't want/need it so not an issue here, but if you're using the hill start test as a way to confirm you're set you'll have to enable it.
