In Woodstock, there is a Tim Horton’s on every corner. I’m jealous. I saw Timmy play for the Leafs way back when. Quite the enforcer on the ice. One pissed off player tried to battle him and Tim just wrap him up in big bear hug and that was the end of that. Since this is a car enthusiast forum, I’ll bring it back on topic. In 1974, Tim Horton was intoxicated, not wearing his seatbelt and crashed his De Tomaso Pantera at about 160 km/hr. Sad end. A couple of years prior to that I got to drive a De Tomaso Mangusta. Handled like crap and it was one of a very few cars I was scared to drive fast. I was able to drive a Lamborghini Miura from the same era with more confidence, however the Lamborghini felt like it wanted to go airborne over 130-140 mph. I can’t speak to whether the Pantera corrected the oversteer of the Mangusta; only saw the latter in a show room or car show. Up to the legal speed limit, the Twins are better cars than all of them. If Timmy wore his seatbelt, he might have died of old age.
