Because of the fast rotation of the hard drive, it isn't quiet and vibrates, but it is not so noticeable against the background of other sounds. The hard drive is also more massive than the SSD. It is sensitive to vibration and shock. In general, hard disk recording is an older technology: hard disks are cheaper than SSDs in terms of price per gigabyte.
