People are more sensitive to watching things that are in their line of work. It is just harder to let your suspension of disbelief kick in when when deal with something every day.
If we applied real world logic and rules to every movie and show there would be nothing but very slow and boring how to documentaries on.
On the other hand we are greatly entertained by things we know are impossible since we don't have to deal with them. I for one have no issue how they depict computer "experts" be they hackers or fixers since watching a show where the special agent says he needs help and the IT department say "put in a ticket and we will get to it" would not be fun to watch.
Ugly people do not all of sudden become drop dead gorgeous when the change their hairstyle and loose the glasses.
Cars can not do several dozen long distance jumps and just keep going.
Good guys can not shake off a bullet to a limb because they wrapped a rag around the wound.
Bad guys do not all die instantly when a bullet barely grazes their baby finger.
Being pelted by gamma rays does not turn people into the ever loving Hulk
