I'm in same boat, takes me a couple months to put 1000 on my DD, let alone this thing (though I hope to use it like a DD in the summer... assuming I get it this summer...)
I plan to go for a nice couple hour drive to get the break-in out of the way. My process is to wait until the engine is fully warmed up before goosing it, then plenty of hard (50%) acceleration and engine braking events with plenty of time in between to avoid elevating oil temps, keeping it under 4k. No idle, minimal highway cruise. There is no further bedding in of the rings happening after 150mi.
