That is not the most common aftermarket wheel size, the most common is 17X9 by far. The reason for coils is with wide tire/wheel combinations you may end up with rubbing in the front as the spring and perch on the stock strut is pretty wide and coilovers have a much narrower spring and perch. It may fit depending on tire size. 17X9 is already tight with a 245 tire. There are sticky threads in the wheel/tire section that have pictures and specs of what people have done.
