The TRD lowering springs are good for a couple reasons; they were designed to be easy to slip in and not require an alignment afterward. They don't affect the ride quality the way coilovers would. If you want a stiffer suspension, get thicker sway bars. TRD makes some decent swaybars for our cars. Good luck!
