E85 probably does pull harder at lower rpms, but for some reason gas feels like it has more grunt from a stop to me. Could be because E85 tune is smoother giving me the impression that it is not pulling as hard. Going to test it again on my next tank.

I'm also assuming OFT tunes are geared towards UEL headers, which could explain what I feel since I have Tomei EL headers. Might consider ecutek if it wasn't for California's new law that requires stock tune for SMOG.
I would doubt your tune for UEL is bad enough that with EL you have any kind of losses at any point in the curve. It's certainly not optimal, but you probably still have a pretty good looking torque curve overall, and so I would bet you are experiencing exactly what you say - a smoother climb in acceleration which gives it less sensation of oomph in a sense.
