diamonds have a hardness of 10 on Mohs scale, CZ's is like 8ish. also the scale is not relative, so diamonds hardness is not 20% harder than cz, it is 1000%'s harder
Plus cubics are man made, where as diamonds are naturally formed. BUT, there is such a thing as man made diamonds (synthetic diamonds) but they can only make them in a size of around 1/4 carats, so nothing to worry about yet.
