It's rated for small engines and a few American cars but it seems like it would be good for my FRS but I just wanted some second opinions before using it. Otherwise, I'm just gonna end up running OEM oil with faster intervals with E85. |
If you run an oil with an
API SN with Resource Conserving / ILSAC GF-5 grade or better, you won't have any issues with E85 and a full mileage interval. Those oils are designed for ethanol content in fuels, up to E85 concentration.
I run Castrol Edge and have ran a 5500 mile interval with 2 track days, all on E85. The oil analysis came back saying the oil still had plenty of life to run up to 7500 miles.
I just sent in another oil analysis with 3 track days and 7500 miles, all on E85. I don't expect any issues with that one either.
