I suppose what makes a GR Supra and GR86 being as full fledged GR is the fact that they're 100% sports cars not based on an existing car like the GR yaris sort of.
They can be fully fledged sportscars without tacking GR on the front of the name. At least the GR on the Yaris mans something since it isn't just a normal model.
GR used to mean something but like TRD before it it has been watered down to a simple regular model with a historic designation to make it sound cooler.
