is the 'torque dip' a problem that needs solving, or are you convinced that it must be solved because others demand it?

i'm still stock all around. either i'm cruising below it, or above it and pushing to bang off the rev limiter...

UEL has a lot more do with getting a specific sound out of the motor-- the 'subie rumble'. combined with a tune, it does stand to minimize the torque dip, as well as slightly bump the HP.

also of note, you're in cali, who is starting to crack down on aftermarket tunes thanks to the pop-tune idiots, and most recommended UEL's eliminate the catalytic converters within the headers, which are illegal emission-wise. things can be programmed out in the tune to throw fault codes, but the car will fail any visual inspection, which would result in even more expense out of pocket...
