Ice Racing and diff swap? I think you should :)

Racing or autox on a frozen lake is a special kind of pleasure. Relatively low risk while being sideways more often than straight. Car control turned up to 11 and fun up to 12.

We put in a plated differential in the FRS along with a shorter final drive (4.44:1) for this event and the plated differential in these low traction conditions does make a lot of difference. It is so predictable when locking up.

I've had this experience in a number of cars and while the Torsen is much better than an open diff or a viscous one, plated makes that experience and rear end control that much better.

Enjoy some pictures from the event. Placed second for the rubber RWD class. I am also preparing a video of the diff swap and event.
