Well the good thing is, OP can keep all the mods he's got from his gen. 1 and transfer them to a gen. 2.
How well they'll work on the new car is another question. Do we already have dyno figures of gen. 2s on E85?
Also, it's not surprising a much taller-geared auto, with a much milder exhaust note, will feel slower than his gen. 1.
