IIHS, it could score excellently in all the testing. It will not be a Top Safety pick however due to once again the weak or minimal safety suite. The old car was a Top Safety pick winner because it preceded this criteria.
This might very well be one of the last cars made that can be optioned without the safety suite systems. Genuinely a brave decision by Subaru and Toyota.
