I told the adjuster to use 3rd party parts are whatever was needed to keep the price down. Not sure that's even a thing with these cars.

If they write it off see if you can buy it back for peanuts and have it rebuilt yourself. If like here the body shop costs for a private job are a fraction of the shop rates for an insurance one.
The shop that repaired my FRS quoted me $500 to respray the front bumper through insurance or $150 if I was paying myself.
