I don't consider getting a GEN2 "worst case" but probably not. We are heading into retirement and our needs are going to change a bit to where the 86 doesn't fit. I had planned on keeping the GEN1 into retirement, but that looks unlikely if it gets totaled, as I'm not going to do the whole buy it back and fix it thing.

I absolutely would love to have the CT5-V Blackwing but at >$100K properly configured it's just more than I am willing to pay for a car. I might look at the ATS-V, as I think it's an under appreciated car and a good example can be had for less than $50K.

As far as the truck, I have a reservation on the Silverado EV, but it won't be available until sometime in 2023.

If the 86 does get totalled, I'll likely drive our Suburban through the summer just to see what happens to used prices and new car availability.
