I'm also getting a second set (aftermarket), so I've been researching this too. My understanding is that if you get a set of aftermarket TPMS senors you can register them to the car with a TPMS tool, but that most of those tools don't work correctly with OEM sensors, so you may need to take your wheels in to the dealer.
