I wouldn't say the US market is the biggest for the GR86. North american market still tends to favor the "mo powa" side of sports cars. Heck, by the end of the gen 1's run, the north american sales numbers were pretty low (even lower in canada that they didn't even bother bringing the handling package over).

Therefore I'd say if there is ever going to be a grmn edition that will cross over to north america it will be the supra way before the 86. Even looking at the oem accessories now it seems like the jdm gr parts are not shared with the north american market. the fender duct accessory, ducktails, are different from the jdm counterparts.

A special GR edition designed and specced by the North american division (i'm going to assume there is GR USA and GR Japan like how there was a TRD USA and TRD Japan) is a possibility (like the 2019 trd special edition) which will be aero, wheels, plus the stuff that the future subaru sport tech rs trims will come standard with (bbk/sachs)
