I dunno, mf ghost always seemed more forced and unrealistic to me. I found it was easier to mostly suspend disbelief with initial d with the custom built nature going against r-31's and s2000's than mf ghost realistically taking on amg's, r35's, and lfa's.
Some of it has to do with the more grassroots nature of initial D's storyline, it just holds too sharp a contrast to mf ghosts professional racing league surprise underdog storyline.
The narration just somehow feels less genuine and more forced to me...
