I'm assuming when you say full update you includes chipsets, BIOS, etc. If not, I'd try that first.
After that, I'd likely try a different DP->HDMI cable, although it doesn't sound like the likely culprit but I've seen odder things. In my office at work I have a large monitor on the wall that runs off an USB3 to HDMI cable. We had the hardest time getting it to work until we swapped out a 4 ft HDMI cable that ran from the wall to the unit. The short cable ran fine if you used it by itself but if you plugged it into the wall plug (20 ft run up, through the ceiling, down to the dock on my desk) it wouldn't work. The only thing we could figure was the 4ft cable had just enough resistance in it to kill the the HDMI signal coming over the longer run.
