A tire patch isn't a force field around a tire that prevents it from ever losing air again.

Maybe you've got something else poking the tire
Maybe it's losing air at the bead
Maybe it's a 2016 in the mid-atlantic region and corrosion has made it's way around the valve stem

Spray soapy water everywhere. all the tread, beads, valve, inside lip of the wheel. Everywhere.
