While we are indeed very JDM, the main factory operation is in Thailand. We moved our head staff and equipment there a while ago due to some large scale projects in that location. It keeps our pricing from going completely off the board - USD has lost about 35% or more of it's value vs. the Yen over the last few years.
We won't be using a twinscroll turbocharger. While it's a nice idea, it wouldn't be practical. A single scroll turbine will provide excellent performance, and won't add another 1k onto the price of the kit. There isn't much that can be done about that bend, tight space is tight.
Most of the hoses will be black, issues with visual inspection don't just exist in California, or even just in the USA. The FMIC will be a Aluminum bar and plate with cast aluminum endtanks - like all our other intercoolers.
