I'm getting about the same city gas mileage in my fr-s as I did in my 6cyl genesis. Unexpected, I know. Tend to keep the rpms up in the fr-s and run the hell out of the engine for fun. The genesis had power all over the place.
The genesis was a nice, solid car. Great looks, wonderful power, nice interior, solidly made. The suspension sucked on anything other than a perfect road surface, no other way to describe it. Heavy too. No feedback. Never had any confidence in the handling on tight stuff.
Here's the amount of freeplay before engaging the bump stop:
WTF is that about? Who does that? What's worse is the aftermarket never materialized and unless you were a "wheel gap obsessed/must lower my car" type of douchebag there were no options for improving the suspension.
Another problem was the manual transmission. They were so bad I went with the automatic.
I like them both but I'll take the FR-S any day.
