training the new guy today on how to bend conduit. i normally can throw in about 200-300' of conduit in a day, didn't even break 100' today. though not entirely his fault, crazy homeowner changing their minds on everything halfway through the day didn't help either.

i'm still not sure if it was good or bad, but he had some instructional time in trade school last monday on conduit bending. i believe it was this video



hell, my heads spinning just trying to keep up with whatever this guy is going on about using all those fancy maths..
@4:19, he says "electricians don't bend the conduit and cut it to length[chuckle]"

yes, yes that's exactly what i do... and i can do it faster and more efficient than your math class can!

i think a large part of the day was spent just deprogramming all of that, and just getting him to simply bend/cut as needed.. he spent the first hour obsessing over the fact that he bent a 7" 90, and it came out at 7-3/4"...
