Now we did experience one car with this exact same issue and they had after market HID's (made in China). The aftermarket ballasts were only sealed in plastic, not metal like they should be. Well these ballasts give off a lot of RF signals (plastic does not protect against that) and therefore interrupt the signals to the ECU, especially on the CAN lines.

When this was removed it fixed the problem in that one car. Do you have any electronics aftermarket parts in the vehicle?
