That is all because there isn't a large enough market for any of these cars to make it profitable unless they share the research and development.
Yet you want them to make one of these cars that would cost them quite a bit more to produce just to take customers away from themselves. How does that make any sense to you? Or do you disagree with my premise. Because if you agree with what I laid out then I really don't understand how you think it would make any financial sense to do what you are asking.

I think a turbo twin would cost less than 2k more to build than the current one. Actually maybe even less than that. They could have used the Ascent engine with no changes. They spent money developing the twin engine just for this car. The reason the don't sell a turbo twin has nothing to do with cost, profitability, or market size. It has to do with the Supra 2.0.
