Rev matching from 2 to 1 I doubt is necessary. When approaching a stoplight or stop sign just coast up to it in 2 with the clutch in and go to 1 after you're stopped and never force it. If you HAVE to go to 1 when moving just do it gently. Think of the shift knob as a raw egg.
