After wanting to own a sports car my entire life and bouncing between Subarus and trucks I finally got the chance to get a 2013 FR-S. I bought the car in late 2019 and held off on doing any modding to it because I tend to get rid of cars quick. I was recently given the chance to do a 1 day class at DirtFish rally school and it has reignited my childhood dream of rally racing. My plan for now is to build up the car to be a good daily driver and a decent rallycross car.
Here is the car the day I brought it home:
As of right now I have not done too much to it, I have added a Nameless muffled track pipe, put on some DIY mudflaps, and trimmed the rear bumper and installed a Diode Dynamics tail as turn kit.
Here is how it sits today:
Future Plans:
- IRP Short Shifter - In the mail
- Anderson Design and Fab 1" spacer kit - In the garage
- Anderson Design and Fab multi-link spacer kit - Being built
- Chuhatsu Plus Multi Road Lift Springs - Waiting on them coming from Japan
- Trac Box and Switch Kit - Being built
Beyond that I will be getting some new wheels and all terrains for next summer but still deciding on what to get. I will also be adding some comfort/safety for racing like a harness and possibly a roll bar.
