Hey guys,

I've run into a small issue, I come from the Evo tuning world (ECUflash and Evoscan) been playing around with it for over 6 years now. I've also done a few 86/BRZ's for mates. They were all auto's so they were A00I or A01I.

i'm trying to help another mate out with a 2012 manual, when I pulled the ROM off his ECU in ECUflash it came up as a A00G and it will not let me change or edit any parameters.
I've read on here that its okay to flash a A01G over the A00G, however in ECUflash when I pulled the ROM it says that it inherits the 16BITBASE file, the A01G that I found on here inherits the 32BITBASE. Will this be an issue when editing and reflashing?
Also in the definition I have (from ECUFlash) the 3 ID's don't match up in the xml definition file itself, it looks like this:

<romid>
<xmlid>ZA1JA01G</xmlid>
<internalidaddress>8000</internalidaddress>
<internalidstring>ZA1JA01G</internalidstring>
<caseid>8644387107</caseid>
<ecuid>ZA1JA01C</ecuid>
<make>Subaru</make>
<market>AUDM</market>
<model>BRZ</model>
<transmission>6MT</transmission>
<year>2012</year>
<flashmethod>subarubrz</flashmethod>
<memmodel>SH72531</memmodel>
<checksummodule>subarudbw</checksummodule>
</romid>

<include>32BITBASE</include>

As you can see the xmlid, internalidstring is different to the ecuid
Which is why I have been reluctant to flash the ECU at the moment using the definition files that I have.

If anyone is able to help out, that'd be great
