I think the only reason to stick to the first gen would be the looks. Reading and watching all the reviews of the 2nd gen, it will be a mechanically superior car.

I do prefer the first gen looks, especially the fender humps, but I don’t think the 2nd gen is a bad looking car and the looks wouldn’t stop me buying a 2nd gen if I was in the market. I am looking forward to seeing it in person, I think it will look better than in the photos.

Also the amount of mods to your first gen car would be a factor in not upgrading too.
