Likely not, but a leakdown would be the way to know for sure. It is getting oil from somewhere. What mods on the car? I know someone showed a way to clean the deposits but I can't remember. They dumped some cleaner into the PCV port on the intake manifold while it was running.

Oil can be be feed into the intake from the PCV or from another passage that comes up under the ac compressor and into the intake elbow. You might want to check those and see if there is a lot of sludge being pushed into the intake at those two points.
