Doing it this way was faster than draining with far less mess. All it takes is to remove the 10mm bolt at the top of the tube and then pull it out (friction fit). After doing this for years all I had to do is refresh the o ring on the bottom end of the tube as a precaution. I'll give it a try next oil change and see how it does. I am a distributor for a couple different brands of these though I have never really been that impressed with them.
