Not everything is this black and white. I want a sports car that I can fit my kids in and I want to drive it every day. That doesn’t mean I want a ‘commuter car’. After daily driving my BRZ, my 335i bores me as a DD. Sure it’s fast, but it’s nowhere near as much fun to me. The BRZ is IMO the most fun you can have in a DD-able, practical enough car. Those thresholds are different for different people. Practical enough for me isn’t practical enough for someone else, or vice versa.
Doesn’t help that I’m too tall for a Miata
