Got it. I run 245/40 RE71Rs on 17x9 et40 König Hypergrams at ~ -3.2º camber (camber plates only) and haven't had that issue.
I did have the front tire rubbing
behind the suspension against the chassis when going sideways with too much drift angle, even at et37.
