And once you've checked the fluid level and confirmed that it's low, check the state of your brakes ASAP because unless there's a leak, then that fluid doesn't just vanish: If the reservoir is low with no leaks in the system and no repairs on the system have been made with it going without a refill, then that means all the caliper pistons are extended to near the brake wear limit.
