But realistically, I don't think it would fit anywhere. The Corolla Hatch is supposed to call back to the Matrix. I don't know if you remember, but the Matrix was pretty popular, I'm sure might still be that way with some enthusiasts. Both the Matrix XRS and Corolla XRS came with the Yamaha 2ZZ-GE engine.
But not turbo.
I believe the last turbo-FWD /AWD based Toyota was the Celica.

If they truly have any Hot Hatch here in the U.S., with the 260-something turbo 1.6L engine from the GR Yaris, that would be pretty unique I think.
Toyota was talking about the Corolla Cross being the successor to the Matrix from what Kirk Kriefels was saying. Technically the old Trueno came as a hatch and a notchback coupe. Today we have a regular sedan Corolla and a hatch too just 4 doors. It’ll be interesting but technically it’s the heir to that throne.

Still love the twins though. I know with the Subaru thing its annoying, I owned a FRS, technically it’s more Toyota then people give them credit (Toyota even owns a piece of Subaru) I’m just saying overall compared to the GR hot hatch.
