Yeah, I went and googled after I posted (always the right order), and it definitely looks like I am worried about nothing.
There are a lot of before/after pics and cleaning information about alcantara and.. it looks like it is actually pretty durable if you are willing to put in a minimum of effort. I personally wouldn't go for a steering wheel with it just because I live in Texas and sweaty hands are a thing.
Seats are probably fine unless you have a very sweaty ass and frequently drive with no pants. In which case you have bigger problems.
Maybe I'll go for the limited trim after all, and not have to worry about missing speakers. I can just drive on the 18's until the tires are ready for replacement. Or sell them, someone is always willing to buy stock wheels & tires when they need them.
I wish Toyota would open up the orders already. The sunroof on my GTI started leaking so now it's at the dealership, and I am beyond ready to get rid of it.
