Can I order the car without stepping foot into the dealership until the car is ready to be picked up? I really have no desire to go there unless it's to grab my keys and pay for the thing. Most dealers seem pretty pushy on getting me in the door. Why? You don't even have a car to show me, you probably don't even have a brochure!
Man, I just want an 'Order' button on Subaru's website. This is all so stupid.

Every store does business differently. Some stores are hopping on the "digital retailing" option of letting you pretty much completely buy a car online, but that'll typically be reserved for pipeline inventory that they know they have coming. That won't show up on store's websites for a couple weeks probably. Even then, they'll need to have one allocated that isn't reserved.
That having been said, I would imagine most stores will shut up and take your money if you tell them how you want to do business and offer a small deposit.
