According to my wife, when she and her siblings were kids, were served something for dinner they weren't wild about, and her Mom used the "starving kids in Africa" line, her little sister used to scream, "well, SEND this to them,..I ain't eatin' it!" Never ended well....
i always challenged my parents to send off the stuff i didn't want to africa. they attempted to teach me about supply chain difficulties. so i threw my brussel sprouts in the garbage.
