The car keeps track of differences in wheel speeds. When you put a car on a dyno where the front wheels are not turning, but the rear wheels are it'll often throw a check engine light.
This could be a similar to the situation you've described where you were drifting and the front wheel speed was probably different than the rear wheel speed.
Typically this check engine light will self-clear after a bit of "normal" driving where the wheel speeds match.
There are at least 2 ways to determine if the check engine light is something to worry about:
1) Get a tool that will let you read the codes, and use the codes to figure out what is inducing the light.
2) Drive the car for a bit, if the check engine light is due to the differences in wheel speeds as I noted above, it'll auto-clear the check engine light after driving the car for a bit.
