I'd say heel toeing isn't 100% necessary unless you plan to consistently track the car.
I haven't really gotten comfortable heel toeing, so I just do blip shifts and it works fine for my driving style, even when I'm having a bit of fun.
Honestly though I don't see a need for auto blip.

Just learn how to blip shift! It's just a matter of timing it.
