That was an AWD tranny with the starter on the other side. The FA20F block is not a FA20D block. Completely different castings. The FA24D could be the same castings that is just bored out. I don't know, but I doubt they changed the bellhousing or the basics from Aisin. The bellhousing could be swapped too.
I bet this thing will fit just fine. In fact, I plan to swap transmissions in the future. I might get the gen2 before doing a CD009 swap. A gen2 swap will be a minimum. A CD009 will be if I stay with this platform and want to bury another large chunk of money into said transmission while building my motor for more power.
