This is what I was thinking/hoping. I've seen a number of people stating that the engine still has the same base, with just some extra bore and probably new heads and whatever else, but not sure why they would have to change the bellhousing. And I doubt they would develop a whole new trans for Gen2 instead of just reinforcing the weakest parts.

I was more curious about the electronics. I'm not sure how much the electronics are involved with a MT. I know there's a gear indicator and some interfacing, but being that you operate most of it yourself, not sure how much of a dealbreaker electronics would be if they weren't compatible
