What can be used from your old engine would depend on what wasn't messed up causing it to stop running.
As mentioned before, I reckon your best bet would be to source a complete used engine and have it professionally installed.
The FA-20 engine ain't like your Dad's (or Grandpa's) old stove bolt 6 or flathead V-8 that could be rebuilt on the kitchen table.
