It's at least made to oem specs. Aftermarket is like everything else- it's cheaper because they don't need to maintain much of any standard. In this case, the fit could be a little off, or the hardness could be lower. Or any special coatings might be more thinly applied.

I went down the aftermarket part hole once on a previous car. The fit was horrific(huge gaps everywhere), and that was after the high end body shop spent a full day making it better than it was out of the box... It was like stretching a thong over a gorilla ass. Move it one way to fix this seam, and the other side opens up too far...
