I need some help - FR-S

TL;DR I need a new engine and need suggestions. Want to keep it mostly stock

I currently own a 2014 MT FR-S and I blew the engine a few months ago. I was on the highway after doing a pull about 30 seconds prior and while cruising in the middle lane I lost power and couldn't accelerate. I tried to downshift and no dice and I ended up pulling over and getting a tow. There was no smoke or oil or anything leaking or signs of anything happening and still months later no leaks or sign of visual failure.

After getting it towed home after about 2 days I got it towed to my mechanic where he looked it over and tried to hand crank it and do everything and he said that the engine is seized and it wouldn't crank at all. When I tried starting it while it was home before I got it sent to the mechanic you can even hear the starter try to crank but it was seized and wouldn't crank.

For reference while in accessory mode the A/C works, it can shift in all the gears fine and everything else seems to work.

This is where I need help. I don't know much of what went wrong with the engine and I think something broke internally that has seized the engine. I am in the market for a new engine to put in the car. Currently it has 77k miles and I just had a new clutch put in about 1k miles before the engine blew. I need some info on what short or long block I could buy. I saw a eBay ad for a short block from AAA Engines in LA but the reviews all say they are fraudulent and so far I am looking at a short block from Crawford Performance. At this point I just want the car running and if I can get a used engine for cheap I will just get it running and sell the car and if I can find a new nice short block I will probably keep it.

Sorry for the rant but I just want to hear what you guys have to say as I don't know too much about cars and I need suggestions on what I should do and what engine I should go with. I want another FA20 and don't really want an upgraded one as I want to keep it reliable and mostly stock. Honestly any advice helps and I tried to provide as much context as possible but sorry for my rant.
