I always wanted to disassemble one of my superchargers and do it in red, in the style of the OEM 17+ intake manifolds. Couldn't find anyone locally who would do a low-bake powdercoat for it and was recommended VHT.

They claim it is very durable and heat resistant up to $350. It takes quite a while to harden like 72+ hours, but it feels rock hard now. I feel like it will be more durable than a regular finish.
It isn’t a crumble type of finish like on Ferraris or textured like on the OEM manifold or like on my old Harrop supercharger. It is wrinkle like there was excess paint that pulled in on itself. Wrinkles like wrinkles. It won’t look show finish sharp, but from a distance it looks nice. The consistency of the finish will depend on technique and conditions. Overall, for my first attempt, I’m happy with the results.
